It is about 40–50 km to the centre; 45–70 minutes depending on traffic. Via the North Marmara Motorway you reach both sides. Bridges/motorways are automatic via HGS/OGS; allow for rush hours (07:30–10:00, 17:00–20:00).
Which vehicle class?
In heavy traffic, automatic is very comfortable; for budget, economy. Families 7–9 seaters, for long drives SUV. All prices include VAT, no hidden fees.
IST or Sabiha Gökçen?
For the European side, IST makes sense. For the Asian side, Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) offers a shorter transfer. Pay on pickup with no credit card applies at both.
